Official Rules & Guidelines

Overview

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties (BHHS Georgia Properties) invites photographers of all skill levels to participate in the Southern Exposure Photography Contest! This contest is an opportunity to celebrate the beauty and essence of Georgia through photography. By submitting your photos, you’ll have a chance to win exciting prizes and gain recognition across our marketing platforms.

Categories:

All photos must be taken in Georgia and correspond with one of the following categories:

  1. Community Clicks – Showcasing Georgia’s towns, landmarks, events, and unique neighborhoods.
  2. Homes & Gardens – Capturing architectural beauty, landscapes, and the essence of home.
  3. The Great Outdoors – Featuring Georgia’s breathtaking natural scenery, parks, and outdoor spaces.
Submission Guidelines

All photos must be taken in Georgia and correspond with one of the following categories:

  • Participants may submit up to three (3) photos per category.
  • Photos must be high resolution and free of watermarks or branding.
  • Submitted photos must align with the selected category.
  • Direct photos of people are not allowed, but individuals may appear in the
    background (e.g., a bustling street or community event).
  • All submissions must be original work taken by the entrant.
  • Minor editing and enhancements (e.g., color correction, cropping) are
    allowed, but AI-generated or heavily altered images are prohibited.
Submission Process & Photo Rights:

All entries must be submitted through the official contest page on our website. Social media submissions will not be considered official entries. However, we encourage participants to share their photos and contest experience using the hashtag #SouthernExposureGA to help celebrate Georgia’s beauty and inspire others to participate.

How to Enter:
  • Visit SouthernExposureGA.com to submit your photo(s) by 11:59PM EST on May 15, 2025. Include a title and brief description for each image.
  • Each participant may submit up to three (3) entries per category.
  • Photos must be taken in Georgia and correspond with the selected category.
  • Direct photos of individuals as the main subject will not be accepted, but people may appear in background or community settings.
  • While sharing on social media is encouraged using #SouthernExposureGA,
    official entries must be submitted via the contest website.
  • Agree to the official contest terms, including photo ownership rights, before
    submitting.
Prizes

Winners will be selected based on creativity, originality, composition, and how well the image represents Georgia.

  • First Place (per category): $500 gift card
  • Second Place (per category): $250 gift card
  • Third Place (per category): $100 gift card

Winning photos will also be featured on BHHS Georgia Properties’ website, social media channels, and marketing materials.

Photo Ownership & Usage Rights

By entering the contest, participants grant Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties full ownership and rights to use, edit, reproduce, and distribute submitted images for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes. This includes but is not limited to website use, social media, printed materials, and digital campaigns. Entrants acknowledge that no compensation will be provided for the use of their photos outside of the contest prizes.

Winner Notification & Announcement
  • Winners will be notified via email and/or phone on May 30, 2025.
  • Public announcements will be made on BHHS Georgia Properties’ social media pages and website.
  • If a winner does not respond within 7 days, an alternate winner may be selected.
General Terms & Conditions
  • Participants must be 18 years or older.
  • This contest is open to Georgia residents only.
  • Employees and agents of BHHS Georgia Properties are allowed to submit for a separate contest and will not be directly competing with the general public.
  • By participating, entrants agree to comply with all contest rules and decisions made by BHHS Georgia Properties, which are final and binding.
  • BHHS Georgia Properties reserves the right to disqualify any submission that does not meet the contest requirements.
  • BHHS Georgia Properties is not responsible for technical errors, lost submissions, or third-party malfunctions affecting entries.
